Tell me a bit about yourself:
My name is Coty “C-Lo” Losee, I’m a 27 year bodybuilder and personal trainer/sports nutritionist from Lafayette, Indiana. I have been involved in sports and fitness since I was a child. I love football and played through college, also a huge fan of weight lifting and the sport of bodybuilding.
I’m sure the readers would like to know about your lifting experience!
I looked up to the action stars of the 80s-90s when I was growing up, Arnold, Lou, Stallone, exc. My dad was a big weight lifter when he was young before hurting his back in a work accident and always supported weights in my home. I received my first weight bench set for Christmas when I was in middle school. I would workout 5-6 days a week at home and loved the feeling I would get from pumping up my muscles. My dad would help me learn different exercises and teach me proper form and technique and I was hooked. I continued to pursue weightlifting in high school, both for sports and in the weight lifting class offered. I loved the sport, the routine, and the lifestyle. I became a personal trainer 6 years ago, and love every aspect of fitness, the diet, training, learning, and supplementing to reach ones goals. I continued to weight train over that time just to keep in shape and add size to my frame. At 6’2’’ I have plenty of room to add mass! After a few years of training, and a few friends stepping on the stage I decided I would go for it myself.
How did you get into professional bodybuilding ?
So in 2010, I started training as a bodybuilder for my first contest. In June of that year I stepped on stage as a light heavyweight and finished 3rd in my first contest the Indiana State Championships/Hoosier Muscle. I loved every second of it. The contest prep, the training, the diet, the tanning, the stage, and the show time atmosphere. I was hooked! At the point in my life I knew I was going to go pro, and I was going to the Olympia like all of my heroes and idols.
Coty, what competitions have you participated in and how did you place ?
With great people in my corner, from nutrition to training partners and family I have gone from that light heavyweight frame I stepped on stage with (198 1/4lbs) in 2010, to 265lbs this off season. I currently just finished up my contests for the 2012 season. I competed in the GNC Classic in Anderson IN on June 2nd where I placed 1st in the novice heavyweight class, overall novice champion, and 1st place in the Open heavyweight class. I also competed in the Indianapolis Championships on June 9th, where I finished 1st place in the open Heavyweight class. I entered 3 categories this season and placed 1st in all of them including an overall title. I have qualified for the national level this year and continue on the road to the Olympia in Vegas. Bodybuilding is a part of me, its in my blood and I can not get enough.
Coty, What drives you to the limit ?
My dad was diagnosed with emphysema in 2011 and I have dedicated this year to him and making sure he sees my step on stage and take first place. I can’t wait for this year to get underway and continue my future in the great sport of bodybuilding! I would like to be apart of a great team, and support a company that I truly believe in. I have used many supplements in my career, and will continue to find the best combination on my way to the Olympia stage.
How has Wilk’s Nutrition helped you through this process?
So far, I can say that I love Wilks’ products. Mr.Wilk has formulated some great top of the line products. This company is on the edge of new supplements and changing the game to a whole new level. I am happy to be part of the Wilks team and help take them to the top together. Thanks for having me on board!
