Biography of a Bodybuilder in the Making.
Mikey Bricks was born on May 10, 1978 in South Philly, Philadelphia.
He quickly found himself excelling in all sports as a young boy. Weight and exercise training became his new best friend. Throughout high school, Mike engaged in football, basketball, wrestling, and started building his physique.
Shortly after high school, Mike shipped off to Paris Island as he became a Marine. His love for fitness was fed by the tough, hard core training the Marines provided. His training was so intense that he led his platoon and graduated Marine Iron Man.
After the Marines, Mike’s yearn for fitness was no longer satisfied with the average Joe’s training. He pushed him self to the limit and landed on the Hurricanes semi-pro football team. Mike excelled as a outside line backer for the team loving every minute. Unfortunately, his football fun came to a screeching halt post season after a traumatic back injury that left him laid up in the bed.
One year and 4 herniated disc later, Mike decided his life would not be with out fitness . Slowly, he worked his way back into the gym gaining strength and endurance. He found himself later working as a personal trainer and sports nutritionist doing what he had always loved. During this time he decided to compete as an Amateur Body Builder. These events made him strive for perfection and only fueled the fire for Mike.
However, once again Mike felt as if his normal intense gym routine of 2 hours a day Monday through Saturday was not enough. He then started to dabble with the training of pro MMA fighters learning Jujitsu, Muay Thai, and boxing. He then became a member of the XFC Militia Amateur fight team. Loving every minute of the intense training, Mike perfected his training methods.
Today, Mike is a stay home dad of 3. Gratefully, Mike has taken this time to strive for a physique of perfection. His training consists of 2-6 hours a day of high intensity training that includes a vast of techniques of everything he has learned from the football, fight training, and trial and errors of the many years of experience he has. His training foundation revolves the set ways of his idol the great Arnold Schwarzenegger. His goals of the future is to achieve max perfection and become a pro body builder.
